Lagos residents advise Olajumoke, bread seller to dress modestly

Some residents of Lagos State have advised Olajumoke Orisaguna, the bread seller turned model, to be modest in her dressing as a celebrity.

The residents gave the advice in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos. Mrs Deborah Mathew, a civil servant said that it was not good or decent for Orisaguna, a mother of two, to put on nude dresses even in the line of duty.

“Posterity will not forgive her for that because the children will see it and might emulate her and she cannot advise them because she is guilty. “What example is she creating for youths like her and her environment; you can see how her boobs and thighs are showing.

This is not the type of modelling we are talking about for a married woman,“ she said. Miss Nneka Ibemesi, a student of the University of Lagos, advised Orisaguna to also pursue higher education.

“No matter the amount of money, she will make from the model, she needs education to enable her know her left from right. “Without education, she will not go far and as it is people are just telling her what to do, the day she demands for what she really wants, her career will end.

“I guess people just want to use her illiteracy to make money and gain publicity,’’ she said.

Mr Olabisi Aderibigbe, a computer engineer, called on the 27-year-old celebrity to study the terrain she was operating to ensure her success as a celebrity.

‘’The model is lucky to be seen and picked but my worry is that she does not know the terrain she has gone into. “Exposing body is unAfrican, soon they will give her only pant and bra to wear and cat walk all in the name of modelling. “Whatever the people that found her out are doing, they should have at the back of their minds that she is a married woman with kids.

‘’They should have the decency to choose better clothes for her,’’ he said. Others reminded the celebrity that she was an example of God uplifting anyone up from the scratch, adding that she should be humbled in fame and be cautious of “what she is made to do’’. NAN reports that Orisaguna was discovered recently in Lagos by a photographer and musician, T Y Bello, who was taking photos of British musician Tinie Tempah.

Orisaguna, who was selling bread at that time, happened to unintentionally walk into her shot. Taken back by the woman’s beauty, Bello took to Instagram after the shoot in an attempt to find out more about her. Orisaguna, a native of Ire Osun, who was well positioned in the photograph that it attracted the photographer was found and awarded modelling contract. “I’m happy to help her build a portfolio if she’s interested. “I’ll find a way to track her down somehow,” Bello said.

ONE LITTLE GIRL: an interesting story of a shoe Addict

I find Imelda Marcos story very interesting. Thought of sharing. Enjoy ONE LITTLE GIRL  Once upon a time there was a little girl. She was a beautiful little girl, everyone agreed. She had dark hair, pale skin and almond eyes. And she sang like an angel. Everyone agreed on that too. Until she was 10 our little girl lived in the big city. It was a sprawling, bustling, filthy place. She lived in a hovel. Well, it wasn’t so much a hovel as a rundown garage. And, when the wind blew at night, the doors and shutters creaked and banged and she was very afraid. And every year when the fierce monsoon rains wreaked their vengeance on the earth the floor of the garage flooded and the little girl’s bare feet were cold and wet. One night in a fearsome storm our little girls’ mummy died – “of pneumonia”, they said, but our little girl didn’t understand. And so she and her widowed father and her five brothers and sisters left the garage in the big city and went to live on a tropical ...

NBTE Fires 13 Lecturers, Demotes 16 Others at Auchi Polytechnic over Sex-for-Marks Scandals

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) on Thursday announced the dismissal of five lecturers and the termination of appointments of eight others in Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi. The dismissal and termination of appointments are in connection with sexual-related offences. The Executive Secretary of the board, Dr Masa’udu Kazaure, who made this known at a news conference in Kaduna, said 16 other lecturers were demoted, while four others were warned. He also said two others were advised, another two cautioned, while one lecturer would be mentored. He said the development was the outcome of an investigation following a publication by The Punch newspaper of April 9, 2016 with the title: `School Where Prostitutes Assist Male Students to Get Marks’. He said: “The summery of the publication indicated that students hire prostitutes or beg their girl friends to sleep with lecturers on their behalf in order to earn higher grades in their courses. “The lecturer chooses a hotel ...
