DEVICE ROOTING DANGER: Disadvantages of Rooting Your Device

Rooting device is very risky and in some cases, have it’s advantages, we will start with the merits and then the demerits.
First and foremost, a root is not only a part of a tree but also means the traditional name for the account in the unix system which gives the user the power to fully control the system (it is a sort of administrative account). Android's operating system is based on the Linux core and also has the user named root which has the unlimited access to all files and can perform all of the actions concerning their modifactions.

Root, in the simpliest definition, is the access to all of the Android's system files and the the possibility to modify them. There is an application - SuperUser/SuperSU - which is used for managing those actions, as well as CWM (ClockWorkMod) and TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) which are more advanced Recovery Modes than those in a standard Android devices.

Pros:

  1. It enables any system modifications
  2. It enables uploading custom ROM
  3. It allows you to make a full backup of the system and the application
  4. It enables you to install applications on a memory card
  5. It allows you to uninstall any unwated apps (e.g. those directly from the producer)
  6. It enables you to change the initial screen.

Cons:

  1. It may lead to the instability of the system
  2. By rooting, you are installing an unofficial operating system which will lead to loss of warranty.
  3. It attracts more viruses
Good application to check if the phone is Rooted or not is our Hard Root Checker. Just install it from Google Play Store and run and you will see Root status for your phone.

I find Imelda Marcos story very interesting. Thought of sharing. Enjoy ONE LITTLE GIRL  Once upon a time there was a little girl. She was a beautiful little girl, everyone agreed. She had dark hair, pale skin and almond eyes. And she sang like an angel. Everyone agreed on that too. Until she was 10 our little girl lived in the big city. It was a sprawling, bustling, filthy place. She lived in a hovel. Well, it wasn’t so much a hovel as a rundown garage. And, when the wind blew at night, the doors and shutters creaked and banged and she was very afraid. And every year when the fierce monsoon rains wreaked their vengeance on the earth the floor of the garage flooded and the little girl’s bare feet were cold and wet. One night in a fearsome storm our little girls’ mummy died – “of pneumonia”, they said, but our little girl didn’t understand. And so she and her widowed father and her five brothers and sisters left the garage in the big city and went to live on a tropical ...
