Luck ran out of a strapped with Improvised Explosive Device (IED)  on Saturday  morning as troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE intercepted and neutralized him while on a dastardly mission at Madagali, Adamawa State.

Troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE with assistance of Civilian JTF have arrested quite a number of infiltrating Boko Haram terrorists in Maiduguri and Mafa, north-east Nigeria. Confirming the report  on Friday , Acting Director Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, said a presumed kingpin of the group, Abur Modu Magaji, was apprehended by Civilian JTF  on Thursday  afternoon, at Kasuwar Shanu (Cattle Market) and handed over to troops.   “Preliminary investigation shows that he admitted to rustling 45 cows from Saleh Mohamed with 20 other Boko Haram terrorists at gun point. He however cooperated and assisted in pointing out 7 other suspected terrorists at Mafa road checkpoint” Usman said.  

President Muhammadu Buhari has once again reiterated his mandate to the security agencies to deal decisively with all acts of banditry and criminality perpetrated in the name of herdsmen/farmers clashes. The President said this Friday in his address at the graduation ceremony of course 24 at the National Defence College in Abuja. “On the matter of herdsmen/farmers’ clashes, I wish to state that this Administration will not tolerate or condone acts of banditry and criminality, under any guise. As such, our security agencies have been mandated to deal with such acts decisively. President Buhari also assured that his administration has been working assiduously in conjunction with local and international partners to rebuild damaged communities in the Northeast as well as tackle the underdevelopment and neglect in the Niger Delta area by correcting the ills of the past and assuaging inherent grievances.
