The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) on Sunday, August 28, took up the role of a chorister as he led praise and worship during a church service at his palace.
In the 44 second video clip, the Ooni is seen singing praises as the congregation danced with all their might.
Recall that the traditional monarch had been ridiculed kneeling in church to worship God, saying that “no King on Earth is above God”, during a thanksgiving after his coronation on Sunday, December 13, 2015.
The picture of the Oba Ogunwusi kneeling during the thanksgiving service went viral and some attacked him, saying he had abused his position with his action.
In response to his critics, he said: “I will continue to do it forever and ever Those who criticised me are ignorant of the supreme power of God Almighty before whom all kings must bow. God is the King of all kings. He appoints kings and dethrones them.”
