‘Big Hero 6’ TV show – Disney has announced that 2014 hit animated movie, Big Hero 6 will become a TV show in 2017.
The new TV series will follow the story of young tech genius Hiro and his inflatable side-kick Baymax from where the movie left off.
Hiro will continue his education at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, and faces “daunting academic challenges and the social trials of being the little man on campus. Off campus, the stakes are raised for the high-tech heroes as they must protect their city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains.
Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley, creators of Kim Possible, have already been announced as executive producers of the show, which will air on Disney XD in 2017.
“Our colleagues at Walt Disney Animation Studios have created a brilliant new world, inspired by Marvel, with vivid, unique characters,” Disney Channels president Gary Marsh said in a statement. ”
