The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced that the 2016/2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will begin on February 29. JAMB begins 2016/2017 UTME (CBT) on February 29
According to Dr Benjamin, the board would make use of about 500 Internet-complaint centres in the country for the Computer-based Test (CBT), as the over one million applicants will sit for the examination, which the board said, would last for seven days.
In a statement issued by JAMB, the examination would hold in seven other centres outside Nigeria, namely; United Kingdom, Ghana, Cameroon, Republic of Benin, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Ethiopia.

Isah Caroline The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has deployed additional aircraft to the Niger Delta in support of the military operations code named “OPERATION PULO SHIELD” against militancy, economic sabotage and all forms of criminalities in the South-South region of the Country. The deployment, according to Airforce spokesman, Group Capt. Ayodele Famuyiwa, was necessitated by the recent spate of attacks on the Nation’s oil and gas installations by the new militant group, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA). He said the additional platforms, comprising fighter aircraft, helicopter gunship and surveillance aircraft, are intended to enhance the capability of the NAF to undertake offensive air operations and intelligence gathering in support of the surfaces forces.
