The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced that the 2016/2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will begin on February 29. JAMB begins 2016/2017 UTME (CBT) on February 29
According to Dr Benjamin, the board would make use of about 500 Internet-complaint centres in the country for the Computer-based Test (CBT), as the over one million applicants will sit for the examination, which the board said, would last for seven days.
In a statement issued by JAMB, the examination would hold in seven other centres outside Nigeria, namely; United Kingdom, Ghana, Cameroon, Republic of Benin, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Ethiopia.

Sheriff emerges new PDP chairman A former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, on Tuesday emerged the new chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party. The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, who announced this at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, said all organs of the party, including, the national caucus, the governors’ forum and the national assembly caucuses agreed on Sherffi’s choice as chairman. The decision, according to Metuh, would be communicated to the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) and the National Executive Committee (NEC) for ratification.
